It all begins with the need to be flexible. Maybe you want your child to see a counsellor but you just can’t get them to leave their bedroom. Maybe your staff need more support because the load has become overwhelming….
I have been working in Education for over 30 years. The idea for Carpark Counselling came from the number of critical conversations I held with parents and students in their car or in the carpark at the beginning or end of the school day. These conversations were instrumental in teaching me the need to be flexible with ‘space’ and ‘place’ and the importance of responding with empathy and compassion to the needs of that person/family regardless of the busyness of the school day.
These conversations have inspired me to offer a ‘mobile’ counselling service that can be needs based and respond to the requirements of each individual.
I understand the immense pressures and expectations on existing staff to provide emotional support to their students and colleagues.
I am aware of how there are times when supplementary support and advice would be beneficial because school resources have been stretched to their limits.
I can come to your home, your school or visit your family, staff or students at any agreed location.
What I can do to help…
I can support adolescents with anxiety, struggling with school attendance, difficulties managing relationships and emotional regulation.
With my training and experience with Restorative Justice Practises I can facilitate mediation and conflict resolution sessions.
Critical Incident Management Team experience plus my education on suicide prevention and postvention means I can be a valuable resource at crucial times for both staff and students.
As an experienced leader, I can bring teams together to work positively, I can manage change and conflict with compassion and sensitivity.
I can support exisiting Wellbeing teams with advice and resources.

I have over 30 years experience in Education supporting adolescents, families and staff.
I have formal qualifications in counselling.
I understand that sometimes kids can’t even get out of bed, let alone go to an appointment.
I will come to you to support your child, your family or your school.
Costs.
Hourly Rate $143 inc. GST
Daily Rate $858 inc. GST
For Mediation, Restorative Justice Meeting Facilitation, Family Meeting, Staff Meeting/Staff Session - a price can be negotiated .
